With very great sadness, ATRIP was informed of the passing away of Professor Dan Burk.

Dan Burk, Distinguished and Chancellor’s Professor of Law at the University of California, Irvine, was a member of the Executive Committee of ATRIP since 2021 and a very regular attendee of its Congresses, as well as a great supporter of the Association. He was also to many scholars in IP, an important source of inspiration and to many colleagues a dear friend.

His international activity led him to many countries of the world to share his scholarship and ideas. He will be very much missed at ATRIP and by many of us.
