We are pleased to announce the winners of the ATRIP 2025 Essay Competition, sponsored by FICPI – the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys. This year, we encountered the rare situation of ties for both first and third place, resulting in a total of five winners. The winners are as follows:
1st place: Michael P. 3rd place: Terry Taorui Guan, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law, The University of Hong Kong, with an essay titled “Reconstructing Originality in Human–AI Collaboration under US Copyright Law” – The essay is available HERE; and Amirmohammad Hajnajafi, PhD Candidate, University of Sheffield, School of Law, United Kingdom, with an essay titled “The Climate Technology Divide: Can Human Rights Redefine the Role of Intellectual Property in Technology Transfer?” – The essay is available HERE
